Katya Kuropas, girlfriend of JJ McCarthy, gains fame for bold NFL Draft attire
Not everything about J.J. McCarthy’s family made headlines, even when the Minnesota Vikings selected him in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. His girlfriend Katya Kuropas created a sensation on social media when she wore a gorgeous leather suit to the event, turning heads.
Kuropas has been in the news recently for a number of different reasons, so he is no stranger to the limelight. But her 2024 NFL Draft ensemble almost brought the internet to a halt.

Since McCarthy’s enrollment at Illinois’ Nazareth Academy in 2018, Kuropas and McCarthy have been together. Their bond held up even after McCarthy moved to Florida to attend IMG Academy in 2020.
McCarthy shared his love for “the woman of my dreams” on Instagram in a heartfelt statement as they commemorated their second dating anniversary in October 2020.

As McCarthy emerged as the starting quarterback for the Wolverines in 2022, Kuropas continued to be a pillar of support for him, going to Michigan game days.
McCarthy’s team’s run to the national championship, which they won in January 2024 against the Washington Huskies, marked the pinnacle of their adventure.
McCarthy proposed to Kuropas after the victory, and she took to Instagram to share a photo of their dog, Marley.

McCarthy was in her junior year of college when the pair celebrated their fifth anniversary in October 2023.
